About

An 12 year old master electrician who dances on the edge of the Spectrum, a yellow lab named Mookie, three cats, a pretty woman with a wicked wit, their hometown of Valley Stream, NY, and the passions, pursuits, politics, personal hell and perambulations of the guy they call Dad. Out past the backyard, the tide comes in and the tide goes out. And Duffy’s Creek keeps on rolling.

  1. Thank you for the follow!
I visited your blog earlier today and found myself captured by the joy called Mookie!
I’ve worked with individuals with developmental disabilities for 29 years….I love your honesty concerning your son and the dedication you obviously have to him.

I had a Pomeranian that used to go to work with me (she lived 18 years!) I watched her melt many hearts. My clients rarely cared whether I showed up to see them….there only concern was whether Chelsea was with me!
The magic of a dog’s love is priceless!

I look forward to reading more of your blog.

    1. Thank you, back! I’m finding out about the supportive community of writers here on wordpress. It really is a wonderful thing. And I know a lot of people have really been fundamentally changed by their dogs. There’s a lot to say about Mookie and his boy, and I’ll try to keep it interesting, and as you say, honest, which is the compliment that means the most to me. It’s the primary quality that I’ve found in your blog and others that I’ve enjoyed. Being straight up makes for good writing, even when it gets ugly. Oh, and plus, you’re damn funny. :>) Thanks again.
